Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

To vote in this election, you must:

• Be a Canadian citizen.

• Be at least 18 years old on election day.

• Provide proof of identity and address.

Step 2: Know the Dates

Here are the important dates for this election:

• Election Day: April 28, 2025

• Advance Voting Days: April 18-21, 2025

• Vote by Mail: Apply online or at any Elections Canada Office before Tuesday April 22 at 6 pm

• Vote Early at any Elections Canada Office: Visit any Elections Canada office and vote early by special ballot. Offices are open Mon-Fri 9 am to 9 pm, Saturdays 9 am to 6 pm and Sundays from Noon to 4 pm
  • The Elections Canada office in Saanich–Gulf Islands is at 2261 Keating Cross Rd, Suite E100, Saanichton, BC V8M 2A5
  • Find another Elections Canada Office if you're out of town.

Step 3: Find Your Polling Station

Your assigned polling station is listed on your voter information card, which you will receive in the mail. You can also find it online at Elections Canada’s website or by calling Elections Canada at 1-800-463-6868.

Step 4: Bring the Right ID

You’ll need to show ID to vote. You have three options:

1. Government-issued ID with your photo, name, and address (e.g., driver’s license).

2. Two pieces of ID, both showing your name, and at least one showing your address (e.g., a utility bill and a health card).

3. No ID? You can still vote if you declare your identity and address in writing and have someone who knows you vouch for you.

Step 5: Vote for Cathie Ounsted

When you’re handed your ballot, simply:

1. Mark an "X" beside the name Cathie Ounsted under the Conservative Party of Canada.
